Gokul Kendra

Gokul has developed a Rehabilitation Center which undertakes activities at its Center at ¼, Tegbahadur Road and Delhi Farm Harrawala Dehradun. Gokul Kendra at Dehradun is a sort of convergence point, where the extra able children can approach for counselling, direction and assistance. In fact, Gokul Kendra acts as a bridge between the patients and the best available doctors. It not only seeks guidance from the concerned doctors in different hospitals of Dehradun and elsewhere, but also does the needful co-ordination for the needy persons treatment and rehabilitation.

 

In case of children, for whom Gokul expects to work more, it also liaise with different educational and other institutions to build the educational and technical capacities of the individuals and to provide aids, appliances and other support services. Gokul aims at making the extra able self reliant through employment/self employment.

 

Integrated Therapy

 

Integrated Therapy helps cure faster with squarely recovery and psychological support as well. While extra able children require medical & physiotherapeutic support, we believe that psychological support to them is equally important, to enable them to come out from the trauma and provide them a healthy outlet to make up their emotions and energies.

Our endeavor would be to help the extra able individuals to develop positive thinking and so besides, physiotherapy, artificial aids, the Center develops psychological frame of mind, world of happiness through integration with Yoga (positive way of living) and music, which will pave a positive attitude and strong thinking in them.

 

The awareness programme such as deliberation by Medical Specialist & Cultural programme are also conducted by Gokul.


 

Gokul Physiotherapy Centre

 

The Centre provides Physiotherapy facility to the needy extra able persons and old persons as preventive measure to cure from disability. The Centre is established in ¼ Tegbahadur Road, Lane No-1, Dehradun. Qualified physiotherapist provides services with dedication and care. The Centre was established in the year 2007. Hitherto the beneficiaries of the Centre are 3838.

 

 

Gokul Artificial Limb Center

 

Gokul Artificial Limb Center at Delhi Farm, Lane-2, Harrawala, Dehradun provides High Tech Limbs, aids and appliances to the needy to enable them to perform their daily chores easily. Our endeavours are to provide High Tech prosthesis best suited to their requirement with pre and post Care. The Number of Beneficiaries is approx 456.


 

Vocational Training Center

 

Taking into consideration their interest, aptitude, strengths and weaknesses, the Center seeks to provide specialized vocational trainings to the extrabled to make them mentally and economically strong to lead an independent life. Computer training Center has already been established at Harrawala, Dehradun to impart training to the needy. The Number of beneficiaries is approx 1000.
